The Guma Tåga CRANKCHETE is a heavy-duty machete built for real outdoor use, but it’s also a cultural collectible that represents one of the most iconic places in the Marianas: Guma Tåga (House of Tåga) on Tinian, CNMI — known as the largest standing latte house site in the Marianas.
Latte stones weren’t decorations. They were the foundation of a Chamorro home — the haligi (pillars) and tåsa (capstones) that lifted houses up with purpose, strength, and engineering that’s unique to our islands. At Guma Tåga, the scale is legendary — massive pillars that stood around 15 feet tall. Even today, seeing that site hits different. It’s a reminder that our people built big, built smart, and built with pride.
That’s why I chose Guma Tåga for this edition — because every time you pick up this CRANKCHETE, you’re holding more than steel. You’re holding a story. You’re carrying the past into the present.
Built to Work. Made to Represent.
Whether you’re working the land, adventuring in the wild, or displaying it as a collector’s piece, this machete connects you to our roots with every swing.
